Oh my goodness I am CRAZEE busy......40 packages to go out tomorrow [my padded envelopes *better* arrive!]....dash dash dash. I have a feeling tonight is going to be a late one like last night. Fancy working till mid-night anyone? ;) I am soooo tired.

petit | tiny...

Sometimes simple, tiny, understated is just the thing....I really enjoy making pieces like this from time to time. I got some new briolettes in last week from one of my stone dealers, which turned out to be smaller than I thought they would be [note to self - look at the ruler the next time! ;)]...and as it turned out, I love them used here - in these small, understated, elegant little earrings......so I have just listed them in my shop here *more just listed!*...

Hope your weekend was good? Mine was all about getting through the book de jour, which I did [16 straight hours and the answers were all mine!!!]....the sun has finally caught up with us here too. Nice and warm outside today as I strolled to the post-office....

I spent some time yesterday helping my Mum set up a blog-page as she is finally getting round to selling her glass work!! [about time too!]....So, if you know any Glass lovers [or wine buffs]...maybe these could be just the thing!? Please saunter on over and have a look at Vivienne Percy - Glass :) {thanks!}

I think I have mentioned before just how much I want to see the Aurora Borealis...so you can imagine how much I loved this amazing post from Inspiration Resource!! I have been looking at it in awe for weeks.....

Hello everyone....I feel like this week has sped by, and that it was a real rush to get everything fitted in - but here we are at the weekend, when the worries of the week can fade away somewhat....and we can look forward to all the important things in life *wink* ;))

These Hydrangeas are outside my front door....I just love the colour of them against the dark weatherworn stone [the sky is this colour often these days too...]...

These beautiful blooms were shot three days apart...and just keep on getting better. I guess all the rain is really doing it's work - they look and smell divine! I am feeling right now that pink is where it's at....

Interview...

Hi everyone...I can hardly believe it is Thursday already! The weeks are going by fast just now....I think the two intensive French language lessons per week have something to do with that!! I have not written so much in a jotter since school.....and I must add, so messily! I think I need to go back over it all and copy it out in a new moleskine or something....;))

This morning, a copy of the magazine 'Asia's Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Review' [July/August] arrived in the mail....inside I found this lovely four page spread on me and my work, including an interview I gave them a little while ago - I am really delighted with it as the team have done a wonderful job of representing my work....and I love how they have styled the page, so a big *thank you* to them! The free Paris guide that I had ordered from the BBC also arrived today...which accompanied the excellent series on Paris that has been showing over the last few weeks here on channel 2 - be sure to order yours too!! it has some great tips for walks around the city. It is getting me in the mood to go *smiling, as I am counting down!!* :)

nouveau collier | new necklace...

Bonjour, bonjour....!! Gosh, I am running to keep up today! I had my French class this morning [10-1] then walked home, relishing the chance to catch some rays and not be rained on....so really did not get a chance to start my working day till half past two! Yikes.
However....I have so far completed this new necklace [Lariat style] with a veritable frond of froth, taking inspiration from the recently passed towers of flowers on the Sweet Horse Chestnut trees....remember? .....I think I will also do this one in pearls too. But for this one, it has 5 types of smokey quartz faceted beads, all hand wired and clustered onto the chain - which makes the whole piece move really nicely.......

Did you all have a good weekend? I am afraid I don't think I did much of anything...I returned some clothes on Saturday and braved Ikea's returns queue later on, as I was missing some parts on a new purchase [aren't you always!?] before doing some grocery shopping....

Sunday was all about the Wimbledon Mens Final. Go Federer!!! ;))

I am so glad Friday is here friends....and with it, my post over on the Ship of Fools bookclub, focussing on the poem 'Dressmaker'. I couldn't resist digging out the vintage pin tin and measuring tape in homage....any excuse to capture their utilitarian beauty, I say!

Something for the weekend....Melanie Bilenker jewellery, with this programme, Paris is where I am every Tuesday night, new edition of, and all new website for RubyMag!, Ping Mag {I love this!} , beauty from Coe and Waito .....that should keep you going for a while! :)

My French lessons [2 x 3 hour sessions] went well this week...and I am really pleased to have already got my numbers [1-100] down, along with some other bits and pieces [but the number are the biggie for me this week...imagine now, when I ask the price of something at the flea-markets, I will be able to understand the reply!! Roll on August please.]..... lots of lists, jotters and self testing has been going on. It feels funny to be back at 'school' ;)

Thanks so much for all your kind words of support this week, through the blog and emails, both about the new pieces and the troubles in Glasgow. It means a lot to me.

changements | changes...

....I was ill all last week with a bug, and so was planning on catching up here at the weekend....however, events here in Glasgow left me quiet. A sad day with sad deeds.....there is so much I want to say and yet somehow this is not the place or the time. I am not sure if there is ever a place or a time.....nothing is right with this. I hate to see this on my doorstep, I hate to see this happen in my city.

I started my French classes today, so I will be especially busy for the next few weeks. I am planning a small shop update for tomorrow as well.....fun summer jewellery to lighten the spirits.

I missed my flickr faves what with being absent on Friday... but I feel the need for some beauty now more than ever. Hope you enjoy....
