All moved in...

Well hello!! I hope you all had a very good Easter weekend...I was very busy moving flat and workshop and am finally in and settled {with almost everything in it's place...almost} - and more importantly, delighted with the new place!!...a lovely {not so} wee place, all to myself :)

I am still without broadband/phone {can you imagine the pain?} so am just stopping in quickly to share some sneak-peeks so far....though, it is all very much a work in progress still as I unpack...

Before I go I just want to give a HUGE shout out to my wonderful removal chaps {the lovely Peter and Jason} of Flat2Flat who were utterly fantastic and worked so hard...so if you are ever moving - seriously, these are your guys! I can not recommend them highly enough....Thank you, thank you!!

I'll be back with more from the new HQ soon!

till then, xo

Tulips, Tulips everywhere...

Here is the tulip pattern that will appear on the packaging to accompany the Tulip Necklaces. I am working to get the contrast just right, so it works beautifully when printed out onto the brown paper. I am parcelling these Spring-time necklaces up like the ones I did last year...limited edition bijoux deserve limited edition wrapping, right?!!
Today I started packing in earnest...actually filling boxes rather than just thinking about filling boxes. I have been working for most of the day and I am only through my books, magazines {which, combined, take up an obscene number of boxes!}...and kitchen goods [not glassware]. I have not even started on the workshop. Holy. Moly...who wants to help me? ;))

Hope you are all having a good week so far? - don't forget to drop me a line [abigailpercyATgmail.com] if you would like to order a Dutch Springtime necklace {details below!} - as there are still some left to purchase...thanks again for all of you who have snapped one up so far!!

Back soon...till then, think of me slugging HUGE boxes.

A Dutch Springtime....

Happy new week to you all....and isn't Spring in the air today!?

Here, as promised, are my Spring necklaces...in the form of Dutch tulips to provide a bit of froth and hopefulness while the tail end of Winter is still with us.....

Last year I had lots of requests for different colours, and for more than I made {!!}...so this time around I am offering one form, in three colour-ways...Gold {18ct gold plated sterling silver}, Gunmetal {oxidised sterling silver}, and Silver {sterling}...

These are a limited edition special {available only through my blog}, just for Spring - and I won't ever produce these designs again. I am only making ten of each [10 gold, 10 gunmetal, 10 silver]....and once they are gone, they are gone!

Purchase Info ::

Each necklace is hand pierced from sheet silver {0.8mm thick} - the tulip measuring approx 5cm x 3cm...and finished matt with burnished gleaming edges. The chain is 18" long, and closes with a hand-made s-hook clasp.

Each necklace is £32.00 GBP plus £6.50 postage. They are available on a first come, first served basis...so all you need to do is Email Me {abigailpercyATgmail.com} and then I will send you a paypal invoice :)

They will be presented on little hand made cards with seasonal print {to be revealed tomorrow}...to keep them safe in transit, and will come wrapped up, perfect for giving - to yourself or a loved one!

Order time is approx 10 working days 'till dispatch.

Enjoy!!

EDIT :: There are still some necklaces in each colour left!!....thanks so much for all your orders so far :) aap, xo

lines and shapes...

It is so very beautiful and I am so happy to have a copy arrive with me today - to be able to hold it... it made my day, well and truly.

I love this focus on one theme, it's gentle and eclectic exploration - the way each artist interprets their brief.
...laying it down, and then noticing it on a pile of lines {oh how I love stripes!} made me smile.

All hail Lines and Shapes...if you have been under a rock for the last few weeks, do check it out! I will maybe share some favourite pages a little later...

...it keeps raining here today - spattering the pavement with raindrops and mottled patterns, before getting thoroughly soaked, being dried by the sun and then happening all over again. I guess this is the kind of thing you end up thinking about when you are focusing on lines and shapes....and of course, circles.

:)

More tomorrow...when I should have the new Spring limited edition necklaces ready to show, so stay tuned for those... {oh, and ps - there are just two of my Ginkgo drawings left...so catch them while you can!}

Pattern, found...

When out and about in Edinburgh the other weekend, I passed by these tiles in an archway on Great Junction Street in Leith...I just loved them. I was, however, without camera and being lashed with wind and rain - so my dear friend Tessa went back {as she lives nearby} and photographed them for me this week!! Thank you my dear :)...aren't they lovely??
...I love coming across things like this. Pattern is everywhere you know ;)
Some links for today >
**Design for Mankind's free and wonderful E-Zine about Inspiration...how did I miss this??
**I like these cushions by Arzu-Firuz. Especially the panorama one...
**Sandra Backlund {via Camilla}, wonderful work!
Happy Monday! I have been working my arse off today in the workshop and am pretty tired now - lots of orders to go out this week...and a house to move the next!!! eek.

journey...

Hi there! Thanks so much for all your well-wishing emails and comments for my talk up at Dundee school of Design, I think it all went off okay...and more importantly, the sun came out, which made for a nice journey!

After the talk, I walked back down towards the train station and went into the DCA {Dundee Contemporary Arts} which was really nice...the shop has some lovely things from jewellery to ceramics and I picked up this Too Many Cooks tea-towel by Lucienne Day {via twenty twenty one} which I have admired for a while.

[I have this odd thing, where I like to pick up a tea-towel [a nice one, mind you] whenever I go somewhere new...so this was perfect ;)]...Funny how all the colours are similar now that I put them together.

Nice day, and dramatic skies on the way home.

There were lots of men on the train sleeping off a few too many cans of beer. I hear they were just off the Rigs and taking advantage of the freedom. I would feel too mean to show the few photos I sneaked ;)

I will be posting on Ship later today, so stay tuned :)

Hope everyone had a fab weekend lined up....I will be back here next week, and will be showing you a new little limited edition group of silhouette necklaces which are on their way {remember these? } to celebrate Spring! {I have to believe it's on it's way...}....
more soon,
xo to all.

It's all in the prep...

Forgive my absence this week so far...I have been scurrying around working, posting out orders, making bijoux and working on my lecture/talk - which is happening tomorrow. So, Dundee here I come ;)
I am just briefly stopping in this evening, as an all too early morning will be here soon enough...but I wanted to give a shout out to Maria's shop update over at port2port press ...there are some dreamy goods on offer there, and also to Karin, whose new shop, Manos, opens tomorrow night! Why o' why can't I be in more than one place at a time?? I ask you....
So, wish me luck for tomorrow - and see you back here soon,
xo
