journey...

Hi there! Thanks so much for all your well-wishing emails and comments for my talk up at Dundee school of Design, I think it all went off okay...and more importantly, the sun came out, which made for a nice journey!

After the talk, I walked back down towards the train station and went into the DCA {Dundee Contemporary Arts} which was really nice...the shop has some lovely things from jewellery to ceramics and I picked up this Too Many Cooks tea-towel by Lucienne Day {via twenty twenty one} which I have admired for a while.

[I have this odd thing, where I like to pick up a tea-towel [a nice one, mind you] whenever I go somewhere new...so this was perfect ;)]...Funny how all the colours are similar now that I put them together.

Nice day, and dramatic skies on the way home.

There were lots of men on the train sleeping off a few too many cans of beer. I hear they were just off the Rigs and taking advantage of the freedom. I would feel too mean to show the few photos I sneaked ;)

I will be posting on Ship later today, so stay tuned :)

Hope everyone had a fab weekend lined up....I will be back here next week, and will be showing you a new little limited edition group of silhouette necklaces which are on their way {remember these? } to celebrate Spring! {I have to believe it's on it's way...}....
more soon,
xo to all.

I love that tea towel. Glad your talk went well, I always think Dundee doesn't deserve all the negative comments it gets, it's an ok city.

Hello,

I'm a 2nd year student studying Jewellery and Metalwork at Dundee.

I am very disappointed because I didn't know you were speaking in Dundee, until I checked your blog the same day...after you'd left the art school! Gutted! Would have throughly enjoyed your talk. Perhaps will see you next year?!

Your work is truly inspiring, and I will definetly be keeping in touch with your blog :-).

PS. If you are wondering how I came across your blog,Dr Sandra Wilson is my Design History tutor :-)

Your lecture went really well - you could tell by the number of students who stayed behind to ask you more detailed questions. Well done - hope you will be willing to come back again next year.

Applause. What did you talk about? is there youtube of it :)

Dror - I was talking about my work, and the role that blogging and online technologies have played in my business so far....I covered aspects of branding, styling and marketing for people looking to start small creative businesses and highlighted some fantastic sites and facilities for them to utilise.

No youtube video of it though, sorry :(

...thanks everyone :)
